LIFE MEMBERSHIP NOMINATION

Lower Plenty Cricket Club

Awarding life membership is the highest recognition that the club can bestow on a member, accordingly the eligibility criteria is set at a high standard.

In accordance with the Club’s constitution, upto two people may be nominated each season.

Nominations must be received in writing to the Life Membership Sub-Committee no later than 16th March 2025. You must be a current member of the club to nominate a person.

Life Membership Qualification Eligibility Criteria:

To be offered the award of LPCC Life Membership, an individual has to have made an outstanding contribution towards the club. In reviewing if the nominee’s contribution has been outstanding the LPCC Life Membership Committee will consider if that contribution has been:

• Significant as denoted by the accumulation of sufficient points;
• Provided in a sustained manner or with a high quality of service which has enhanced the reputation and future of the club;
• Provided with a general attitude and overall demeanour which reflects a dedication to the values of the LPCC;
• Provided with a demonstrated commitment to the principles of fair play and good sportsmanship;
• Provided valued leadership and/or an outstanding role model to all members (playing and non-playing);
• Provided with a level of participation that exceeds what is reasonably expected of an average club member, that being a regular, consistent and reliable participant and/or volunteer;

It MUST be noted that meeting the criteria does NOT automatically guarantee awarding of Life Membership.
