Anthony Key

Anthony Key joined the Club as a 13yo in 1985, making two centuries and winning the batting average in 1987-1988

His first senior game was in 1986-1987, the first of 202 in seniors.

His A Grade record is an outstanding one:

  • 181 matches between 1987-1988 and 2004-2005 – 3rd highest for the Club;
  • Club coach and 1st XI captain 1998-1999, 1999-2000, 2000-2001 and 2001-2002.
  • 5083 runs, second only to the late, great Fred Leslie. 
  • Batting award winner four times – 1990-1991, 1994-1995, 1999-2000 and 2000-2001
  • 92 catches to be placed 6th on most fielding dismissals for the first XI.
  • Captain of the team of the decade 2001-2010

Anthony was awarded Life Membership of the Club in 2002-2003, and is a deserved inductee to the Hall of Fame
